The Norwegian regional Romerriksexhibition 2019 jurymember
Representing as a photographer I joined the three person jury to look through submitted works and decide the choice of participating artworks in the regional art exhibition Romeriksutstillingen just north of Oslo. Artists working in all media are invited jo apply and as jury we were encouraged to include a wide selection of types of work. It was interesting to see both the amazing variety of sculpture, textile, images and installation and the trends and variations of styles. Apparently painting as a choice of media is still holding it´s own compared to the number of photographs, prints and other media entered. As a jury I think we selected a nice variation, and I was particularly fascinated by how the same subjects and styles would appear in both the photograps and paintings and print. The final exhibition was sent around to three different art centers and curated differently at each venue.
