Cameraless photoworkshop at SAGA centre for photography in Norway
In September I will teach the workshop “Light & Alchemy” at SAGA centre for photography at Inderøy in Trøndelag. It is possible to sign up to participate during summer and there are no requirements of previous experience with analog photography and not even a need to bring any of your own photo equipment, unless you want to! We will work with analog processes and withut the camera, to focus on the materials and how they can give us photographs in unexpected and untraditional ways.
This will be 5 days of creative playfulness and challenges that are suitable both for photographers and artists who are open to new ways to think about how to create ones own images. We will work in fast and direct ways to make prints, while we refine our technique and take control over the whole process to create the work we want. There will be some chemical darkroom work, but we will strive to be outside as much as possible and make sure we follow best practices for handling the materials.

I september skal jeg holde kurset “Light & Alchemy” ved SAGA senter for fotografi på Inderøy i Trøndelag. Det er mulig å melde seg på i løpet av sommeren og kurset krever ingen forkunnskaper og heller ikke noe eget fotoutstyr av deltakerne. Vi skal jobbe med analog prosesser og uten kamera for å konsentrere oss om materialene og hvordan de kan gi oss fotografier på uventede og utradisjonelle måter.
Dette blir 5 dager med kreativ lek og utfordring som passer både for fotografer og andre kunstnere som vil åpne seg for nye måter å tenke på det å skape egne bilder. Vi vil jobbe med direke metoder og lage mye bilder raskt, mens vi raffinerer teknikken vår og tar kontroll over prosessene for å lage det vi selv ønsker. Det blir kjemisk mørkeromsarbeid, men vi vil holde på mye utendørs og arbeid trygt med materialene våre.
