Utstillingen “Pålandsvind” på Ås Kunstforening 1. - 16.august
Utstillingen ved Ås Kunstforening viser fotografier av meg og malerier av Ernestine Louise, som vi har laget under våre kunstneropphold ved Atelier Nøss på Andøya i 2022 og Vadsø kunstnerhus i 2023. I tillegg har vi vært på flere reiser til Nord-Norge.
Vi ser begge på naturkreftene som en viktig del av landskapet. Jeg viser kun frem bilder laget med kameraløse teknikker som lumenprint, fotogram og kjemigram, laget utendørs direkte på både film og fotopapir. Ernestine Louise maler utendørs og bruker både regn og vind og sand og sjø som pensel mens hun lager sine bilder. Vi samarbeider med elementene rundet oss og vær og vind kommer tydelig med i bildene der landskapet både er en kilde til inspirasjon og en aktiv aktør.
Under utstillingen holder vi også en kunstnerpresentasjon den 8.august og omvisning den 13.august.
The exhibition “On shore wind” at Aas Art Society 1st-16th of August
The exhibition at the Aas Art Society Gallery shows photographs by me and paintings by Ernestine Louise, that we have made during our artist residencies at Atelier Nøss on Andoy Island in 2022, Vadsø artist guesthouse in 2023. In addition we have travelled through the North several times.
We both look at the forces of nature as an important part of the landscape. I am showing cameraless photographs made as lumenprints, photograms and chemigrams outside and directly on film and photopaper, Ernestine Louise paints outdoors and uses rain and wind and sand and sea as a brush on her paper. We both collaborate with the elements around us and the wind and the weather is an active participants in our work.
During the exhibition we will host an artist presentation on the 8th of August and a guided tour of the exhibition on the 13th of August.
